OWL PELLETS, BONE CHARTS and SUPPLIES What are Owl Pellets?
Owl Pellets are the regurgitated remains of a meal. They will contain fur, bones and other undigestable parts.
The common barn owl usually eats rodents, however their diet can be diverse. You may also find birds, insects, or even crawfish among the normal bones.
These owl pellets have been chemically treated to kill any microbes. We still recommend gloves and request that you remind your students about keeping their hands from their faces until they have washed.
