Are you tired of the “toy” flower presses ($5-$15 price range) that do not meet your expectations? Are you serious about pressing your precious flowers and leaves? Then this nature press is for you!
Affordably priced, this medium capacity entry level press is perfect for those just getting started in the exciting and educational world of pressing flowers and leaves. It is perfect for young people (or older like me) who have shown wonderment regarding God’s artistic attributes…specifically, His creation of gloriously beautiful and richly complex flowers, leaves and ferns.
This press is tailored to meet the needs of the serious nature enthusiast. With this sturdy design, you will be able to press almost any flower, as well as tree leaves and ferns.
I hired a skilled North Carolinian artistic woodcrafter to produce a limited number of these presses. Included in this auction is our exclusive nature preservation press, made of high-grade oak wood. I have designed this press with spacious outer dimensions that measure 7" by 9". This allows for a highly practical 4.5" by 6" area for arrangements of flowers, tree leaves, and small delicate spray flowers (such as baby's breath) inside the press. I believe the utilizable size of this press is perfect for the beginning artist.
Please note that the wood in this press will not bend…not even on the edges when you tighten down the screws over reasonable thick flowers! All experienced “pressers” will tell you that this is a non-negotiable feature in their favorite presses.
So what have we done to make sure that our wood will not bend under the pressure of pressing? Firstly, the type of wood we are using. This is hand-picked, high quality, well seasoned, very hard and unbendable oak wood. Additionally, we have essentially “over-engineered” the thickness (13/16”) to ensure that the oak does not yield to the pressure.
Additional product details:
- Made in America!
- Simple to operate.
- Excellent results (unlike the toys)!
- Two layers of hand varnishing with a natural stain to bring out the grain of the oak.
- We have used real brass bolts (3”) and wing-nuts to fasten down the press.
- We have provided enough cardboard cushioning for six layers of pressing per pressing session.
- You will receive enough pressing paper for three pressing cycles (we also sell refills when these run out).
So, for durability and price, this is the press for you!
